Contemporary Living. The New Living Trends in Europe conference in Florence
One of the speakers in the conference is architect Anssi Lassila, who will talk about OOPEAA – Office for Peripheral Architecture's Puukuokka Housing Block in Jyväskylä, a complex of three wooden residential blocks of flats.
The event aims o foster discussion and create an opportunity for dialogue and professional exchange between the Italian and international field on the theme of ecologically and socially sustainable residential buildings. In addition to Anssi Lassila's presentation of the Puukuokka Housing block, the speakers include Eike Becker, who will present her office's project The Garden in Berlin, Germany, and Lisa van der Slot from the Dutch studio De Zwarte Hond, which has designed new residential complexes in Rotterdam.
The event is the third part of the Glance Around programme, a series of discussions started in 2022 and curated by the architect Arianna Callocchia. The conference is organised in collaboration with the Association of Finnish Architects' Offices ATL, with the contribution of the Consulate General of Germany Milan and with the patronage of the Embassy of Finland in Italy, the Embassy and Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Chamber of Architects of Florence, the Italian Council of Architects and DIDA – Department of Architecture – UniFi.
The talks of the international speakers will be held in English. The conference is free and open to everyone. A tasting of Italian wines offered by Casale del Giglio will follow the conference.
