Architecture Speaks: Siv Helene Stangeland
Siv Helene Stangeland
In the tenth season of the Architecture Speaks lecture series, running from November to January, six architects or architectural groups are invited to share insights into their design processes and their roles in the world of architecture.
The Norwegian architect Siv Helene Stangeland from Helen & Hard strives to engage with and respond to the unique potential that lies within the local conditions of a place. Her work shows how human, social and environmental needs can be met in a sustainable and symbiotic way. She has lectured widely about Helen & Hard’s research on holistic sustainable practices within co-housing, innovative timber structures and the importance of hand drawing.
