UIA-HYP Cup 2015 International Student Competition in Architectural Design

The School of Architecture and the University of Tianjin and the Chinese press group, Urban Environmental Design (UED) have announced the fourth edition of the UIA-HYP Cup 2015, the annual international competition open to students enrolled in any accredited school of architecture in the world. The language of the competition is English.The competition topic is Transformation: Place, Tradition and Modernism in Conceptual Unity and Diversity. According to the competition brief, the projects should be designed on two sites in northern China, address science in the contemporary world and use culture, geography, landscape and climate as references points. The competition jury will be chaired by German architect Meinhard von Gerkan together with Chinese architect Cui Kai who is also the representative of the International Union of Architects UIA.Registration deadline for the competition is 30 June, 2015; and the deadline for submissions is 31 August, 2015.
