City Agents: Exploring the Garden City
The Exploring the Garden City workshop kicked off with a walking tour, during which the urban environment was examined from the perspective of greenness and attractiveness. Self-created green stencils were used as an observation and documentation tool. Urban spaces were also taken over by placing houseplants in places that seemed to need them. The plants were accompanied by messages that encouraged local residents to observe their environments, save the plants, take photos of them in the nicest locations and share their photos through social media. At the end of the workshop, the participants examined their own photos and discussed the change brought about by the increased greenness. They also answered a questionnaire: What did they learn during the workshop?[embed]https://youtu.be/W9Ef7EsSUVU[/embed]
