The EU funding programme LIFE for the environment and climate action has launched a call for the development of skills in sustainable construction in the framework of the NEB Academy.
The call will be open until 7 September, and award one project expected to contribute to NEB Academy in
Setting up a NEB Academy Hub (for on-site trainings), online trainings, a summer school, workshops, or other relevant activities;
Mapping needs and/or existing skilling initiatives on sustainability in the construction ecosystem;
Testing pilot projects on using sustainable materials for construction (focusing on wood and other biomaterials);
Promoting skills sharing initiatives and technology transfer.
As one flagship initiative of the European Year of Skills, the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative has launched the NEB-Academy on skills for sustainable construction. The NEB-Academy will provide a coherent and accessible set of online and offline trainings at the European scale and promote inter-regional exchange of skills and best practices.
