Greta and William Lehtinen Foundation offers professional artists of all nationalities a unique living opportunity in the heart of Helsinki.

In 1968 Greta and William Lehtinen established a foundation bearing their names to support visual arts, design, architecture and music. The foundation has opened a residence in Katajanokka, Helsinki which is open to professional artists of all nationalities working in the above fields of art.

The residence provides a unique living opportunity in the historic center of Helsinki. It is located in a 1906 Jugend (Northern Art Nouveau) building where many famous artists had their ateliers.

The building is located on Luotsikatu in the Katajanokka area, walking distance to the main market square and downtown. It is also easily accessible by transit.

The residency period varies from two to nine months. The residence can accommodate three artists at one time. Long term residencies offer opportunities for deeper cultural exchanges and provide a creative atmosphere for one’s own artistic concentration.

Application form and more information can be found here.
