Global Awards 2014 winner Martin Rajniš lectures at MFA
One of the five Global Awards for Sustainable Architecture 2014 awardees, Czech architect Martin Rajniš, lectures at the Museum of Finnish Architecture in Helsinki on Wednesday 26 November 2014 at 18:00. His lecture is entitled Experimental Wooden Constructions and it will be held in English.Martin Rajniš, b. 1944 in Prague, is known for his life-long career in ecological design and wooden architecture. He has also acted as a professor at the Academy of Arts, Design & Architecture VSUP in Prague between 1993 and 1997. He established his own practice, currently formed as Huť architektury Martin Rajniš s.r.o., in 2001.[caption id="attachment_1605" align="aligncenter" width="199"] Architect Martin Rajnis, one of the five Global Awards for Sustainable Architecture awardees 2014.[/caption]The lecture is part of the parallel programme of the Annual Rings 1994–2014. A New Generation of Wood Architecture exhibition, co-hosted by the Museum of Finnish Architecture and the Aalto University Wood Program.
