Finnish Architecture Biennial Review 2016 exhibition now open
Fifteen impressive examples of latest Finnish architecture are now exhibited under the title Finnish Architecture Biennial Review 2016. The selection can be viewed online in our new Finnish Architecture Navigator aka Navi or by visiting the Museum of Finnish Architecture in Helsinki between 15 June and 2 October, 2016. The exhibition highlights include the Opinmäki School and Learning Centre by Esa Ruskeepää (Espoo, 2015), the Puukuokka housing block by Anssi Lassila's OOPEAA (Jyväskylä, 2014) and the Serlachius Museum Gösta's Pavilion by MX_SI architecture studio together with Huttunen-Lipasti-Pakkanen Architects (Mänttä, 2014).[caption id="attachment_2189" align="aligncenter" width="1000"] The Puukuokka housing block in Jyväskylä by OOPEAA. His fellow jury members have been architects Sirkkaliisa Jetsonen and Hilla Rudanko. Expert input has been additionally provided by Helena Soimakallio, Managing Director and CEO at the Finnish Association of Civil Engineers. The Biennial Review is organised by the Alvar Aalto Museum, the Finnish Association of Architects and the Museum of Finnish Architecture.
