For the 19th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia has opened a public venue for the submission of ideas, with the intent to foster an expansive heterogeneity of voices, visions, and suggestions.

According to Curator Carlo Ratti, at a time of crisis, we need to embrace a collaborative approach to design. For the first time ever, a public venue is opened for the submission of ideas for the 19th International Architecture Exhibition. Every proposal, no matter how audacious, is worthy of consideration in the face of today’s defining challenges.

Trans-disciplinary contributions are sought from the global community of practitioners, scientists, scholars, activists, and others in order to assemble an exhibition that foregrounds diversity of perspective and creativity of thought.

Architects and non-architects are encouraged to submit ideas, to be evaluated by the Curator for possible inclusion in the exhibition or the broader curatorial programme. All proposals must follow the guidelines specified on the submission interface and must be uploaded on the dedicated space on the website of La Biennale di Venezia by noon, June 21.
