Bridge the Gap competition: design a bridge in Venice
The Austrian initiative for built environment education for young people Bink invites to participate in a competition for designing an easily constructed, mobile, temporary and light bridge which will be built on location in Venice in 2016. The competition is a part of the International Symposium of architectural & built environment education for young people organised on 21–22 October, 2016, during the International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia.
The competition is an opportunity for all architects, architecture and built environment educators, pedagogues, artists, students, apprentices… to present their varied modes of operation by sharing a common task. It also offers insights into the diversity of the operating professions architecture, structural design, land use planning, cultural education, landscape architecture, pedagogy, research and science, as well as the building trade.
