TENURE TRACK OR TENURED POSITION IN STRUCTURES AND ARCHITECTURE
The position is shared between two departments of Aalto University: the teaching will mainly take place at the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering in School of Engineering, whereas the research will be conducted at the Department of Architecture in School of Arts, Design and Architecture.At Aalto University Professor of Structures and Architecture is a new position established to strengthen and develop the collaboration between two departments and especially with the existing professor of Design of Structures. The new professor is in charge of developing and offering architectural education for Bachelor’s and Master’s students at the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering. At the Department of Architecture, the professor is a part of the existing research and development community and is in charge of linking the architectural research to structural engineering.The position is intended for applicants who may assume the post of Associate or Full Professor.The application period ends 31 January 2016

The focus of the professorship is on creating new knowledge and on developing expertise in emerging fields of landscape architecture. The professor is expected to complement and expand the current study areas.The tasks of the Professor of Landscape architecture include research and teaching in the field as well as development and administrative work within the department. The professor will work in cooperation with other teaching staff of the department, especially with other professors and with other departments of the university.The position is to be filled at Assistant or Associate professor -level of Aalto University tenure track system.
