The AHRA2018 research student symposium examines the interdisciplinary intersections in architectural research and in the history of architecture. The symposium calls PhD candidates to reflect on the various uses of history and historical knowledge in architectural research and practice in a broad sense.

During the two-day symposium, architecture and history will be discussed in 24 presentations divided to six sessions. Professor emeritus, architect Juhani Pallasmaa will give his keynote lecture “STRATIFICATIONS – memory, experience and imagination” on Monday June 11 at 16:00.

The symposium will be held in English and is open to everyone.
